The recent mail vote on the measurement issue has been a test for the new constitution that was adopted a few years ago. Owners have cast votes for 102 boats of all ages.
The final result of a decisive majority, by 59 votes to 43, for keeping the older boats racing without having to make changes, shows that we still want to be a class that includes all 8 Metres. Thank you all for your interest - it has been good for IEMA funds too ! I know there have been differences of opinion, but trust those who had a minority view will accept the democratic decision, and we can all go forward to further the growth of our class and restore our reputation for being a friendly class racing vigorously and fairly.

The Swedish 10mR Itaka has announced that they will compete for the Baltic Classic Master Cup and participate in the Around Gotland Classic Baltic Race, in Trosa and in Helsinki on the 13th of August - at the HSS Viaporin Tuoppi Tune-Up plus Tuoppi itself. Hopefully more Swedes will join in.
